It’s that time of the year again, the most wonderful time of the year. And once again, we find ourselves grappling with the age old question: which is the greener tree, the fake or the real? Do we choose the fake tree knowing that we have left another in the field to continue feeding on our CO2, or do we choose the real tree recognizing all the CO2 emitted to produce the fake tree?
Of course, this is simplifying things just a bit. I know I have had this question before, and I imagine there are others out there pondering it as well. We here at Spinach would like to point you to Umbra at Grist who, as she does every year, wonderfully summarizes the issues on both sides. So if you are in fact wondering which is the greener way to go, take a minute to get her take.
